Cooperstown Shelter Update

The Shelter in Cooperstown has been closed as of this morning. NYSEG is no longer providing update to us regarding Dry Ice/Water all the information will be available on their web site and they continue to notify the media of time and locations (Below is from their site as of noon).
Otsego County had not yet received a Declaration for Aid, but, we are providing our information to NYS and the will be sending it to the Federal Government. It is not out of the ordinary for additional counties to be added to declarations in the days and weeks following a disaster. Unfortunately this process takes some time.

FEMA Irene Disaster Assitance for Homeowners

FEMA ASSISTANCE
Otsego County Residents are asked to contact the Office of Emergency Services at 547-4227 if their homes or property suffered damage as a result of the storm that affected Otsego and surrounding counties on August 28th.
In addition to contacting the Office of Emergency Services, residents with damage should also register with FEMA Individual Assistance by calling 1-800-621-3362. Hearing impaired callers can contact FFEMA by calling 1-800-462-7585 to register for assistance

Town Clerk's Schedule

CHRISTMAS CEILI

The Hartwick Irish Dancers will present their CHRISTMAS CEILI on December 11, 2009. A Chinese Raffle will begin at 6:30, and the Dance Recital will start at 7:00 at the Hartwick Community Center. The Raffle is sponsered by The Dancing Divas Relay for Life Team. Admission is free, and Refreshments will be served.

Childrens Cookie and Craft Party this Saturday

The newly formed Hartwick Fire Department Company #1 Auxiliary is hosting a free holiday children's cookie decorating party at the fire house on Main Street in Hartwick on Saturday December 5th from 1pm to 4pm. There will be cookie decorating, arts and crafts, photos with Santa, face painting and children's movies playing the duration. Refreshments will be served. Donations welcome.
